Life isn't always perfect and there are times when no matter what we do things will go wrong. This is the message I want to share today with this page.
When I started this page I wanted to paint a face from my imagination and everything went well but then I made the mistake of trying to do a stencil on top of it and it was a total disaster! My first instinct was to cover it up and paint over the entire page.
I sat there for a while staring at the mess but then I realized that in stead of trying to cover my mistakes I should keep it and just let it be and started to make the little failed tag to go onto the page. I journaled about my experience in a white gel pen and decided to share it with all of you. I will keep this page just as is because this is a reminder that there will be days when things aren't perfect but it's okay and tomorrow is a new beginning and I can always try again!
The only real failure in life is the failure to try.

I actually really like the image in the failed picture! It looks mysterious and layered.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Marcia. I loved your face with the stencil over it. The face was great! Will the "failed" tag come off? :)) I think it is a success.
ReplyDeleteLike you Monica I also never see any artwork as a failure. Every single thing we do teaches us something. 2011 was the most fantastic year for me creatively, turning all my mistakes into art pieces I like. ;o)
